Calling on heritage and history enthusiasts to join the crowd and make a pledge!

Tuesday 20 March

The WA Heritage Film Appeal, is a crowdfunding campaign calling on all who have an interest in the State’s heritage and in saving historical  film and television archives, has been launched by State Library of Western Australia.

The crowdfunding appeal will raise money to digitise early films in the WA Film Archive - a $10,000 pledge target must be reached by 11 May 2018.

These films feature remarkable images of life in the early days of Western Australian European settlement. By preserving and digitising the Library’s film collection, they can be made accessible online and viewable from any location via the internet.
